Ms. Hill attended the University of South Florida for her undergraduate degree and majored in Biology. She received her law degree from the University of Florida. During law school, Ms. Hill’s emphasis was on criminal law, taking courses such as trial practice and Advanced Criminal Law Practices. Additionally during law school, Ms. Hill received her pro bono certificate through volunteering with the Teen Court Program of Alachua County, and she was a certified legal intern at the Public Defender’s Office in Alachua County. Upon graduation, Ms. Hill worked as an Assistant Public Defender in Orlando. She defended hundreds of cases from criminal traffic citations to violations of probation, to punishable by life felonies. Ms. Hill had various favorable outcomes through motion hearings, taking cases to trial, seeking treatment programs for clients and negotiating on behalf of her clients. After leaving the Public Defender’s Office, Ms. Hill worked as a family law attorney in Orlando defending husbands and fathers in divorce and paternity actions, dependency cases and injunctions. Ms. Hill also handled cases as a solo practitioner handling landlord/tenant disputes, drafting wills, sealing and expunging records, representing victims of identity theft and representing persons charged with 2nd and 3rd degree felonies. She also assisted with drafting petitions for modifications of family law for clients who could not afford attorneys. During her time as an attorney with Sanchez Querry, Ms. Hill handled various different kinds of cases including criminal, family law and probate matters. She also won many large settlements defending homeowners against insurance carriers. Ms. Hill has practiced law in over 23 counties in Florida and is admitted to practice in the U.S. Middle District of Florida.
